Losing prime?

My 95 GM starts right up in morning, dies, then it takes a little bit to start again. After running rough for a minute, it smoothes out. Is it losing fuel prime? Is it a sign that the fuel pump is goin out? Sometimes just driving across town, it wants to start hard. Any ideas? Thanks :frown:

This must have been a dumb question!!!! :sarcasm1: I just didn't know if a fuel pump goes out QUICK, or gradually. I had a ford van once, and it went all of a sudden.

Check the Idle Speed Control motor.

Thanks for the come-back. Where is the IDLE SPEED CONTROL MOTOR? It doesn't list it in my manual! How will I know if it's bad? Can I have it tested?

It looks similar to the picture below. It is located down behind the intake on the drivers side. It is located down in a little hole all the way back to the firewall. it is so hard to access on your vehicle, replacement of part is usually our repair by symptom.

Thank ya sir. You've been most helpful...as always! I'll check it out. I tried to price one on a local parts store's web site, but it didn't list this part. Thanks again.
