hey can anyone tell me the difference on the angel eyes i see that there are the gen2, gen3 and gen4 models of angel eyes...also anybody know anything about the ion beams...if the ion beam is blue will the light be blue...and if its a clear ion the light will be clear/white??... also i heard that the angel eyes are a hassle since they change bulbs using the h3 unstead of the h4 bulbs..and y are they blowing out so quick with some peoples...well the main question i want answerd is the difference on the generations of the lights

I used to have the original projectors but I sold them and went w/ the "angel eyes" as soon as they came out. My new projectors aren't made as well as the newer ones available now. They just came out and were very new to the market... they have gaps between the projector lens and the housing and the lens tends to move as I hit bumps. The new ones are free from this problem.
I had the same problem w/ my bulbs burning out. Mainly... it has to do w/ the wattage output. The projectors for the 5th gen Civic use H3's for low beams and H1's in conjunction w/ the H3's for highs. H3 bulbs are usually used for foglights as well.
I got fed up w/ replacing my bulbs and decided to go big. I bought a real HID H3 kit for my car. The HID bulbs draw less wattage but have a greater output of light... and the bulbs burn cool to the touch! Also, each bulb is rated to an average life span of 2,000 hours. The drawback... my HID kit cost me $385.
For the projectors... just shop around and do your research and you should be fine. If you have more questions... just ask me.

ok well i got my angel eyes in last month and installed them..i got the dual angel eyes so there were 2 red wires and 2 white wires for each ring..the projector should have an adaptor to plug right in
1. ok first white wire is ground..red is power..
2. hook the red wire to your parking lights..there are 3 total wires coming out the parking light 1 is black and the other 2 i forgot..but conncet the 2 red wires together twist the ends together, so they are joined together..use T-taps to tap it in the parking light wire..forgot what color so u have to try it out..not the black though.
3. twist the 2 white ones together and find a good ground..makes the ring light up better.
thats it so..now if u have a keyless or an alarm the rings will blink everytime u arm or disarm the car..
ok anyone answer this for me..the low beams use H3 bulbs..so i went to the autostore and got some hyper white one..to be exact they were pilot hyper white H3 bulbs..i tried to put them in and the freaking bulb is too big..it wont fit into the slot..did i just buy the wrong ones or what..all the pictuces i see for h3 bulbs looks like the one i bought

Is it blinking when you put your turn signal on?
If it is, you have to switch the red wire from the halo to the other wire in your corner light. There should be three wires running to your corner bulb. One is black, that's the ground. One is green/blue, that's the one for turn signals. The other one provides power for your parking lights, and that's the one you want to tap into to make your halos come on when you turn your lights on.
Hope that helps!
