Radio turns off when shifting into reverse or drive

It works fine in park and in neutral but turns off as soon as you shift into reverse or drive (D1 thru D5). It's a 2004 model with the 6 disc changer, etc. Just started today. Any ideas?

Does the display go out, or just the audio? Does the climate control continue to work? As soon as you shift back to Park does it come back, or do you need to cycle the key?
