Re-position '01 GP headlight

There is a huge gap (approx. 3/4 inch) between the hood and the headlight on my driver's side, the bottom of the headlight touches the bumber. The headlights appear to be aimed properly. The passenger's side appears fine. I do not know if there was any front end damage on the car, noticed this problem after I brought it home.

Is there a way to reposition the headlight to correct the gaps?

You can run a Carfax report and see if it was involved in an accident or do a closer inspection looking for possible accident damage. But the gap is not right.
