Hi out there,
I'm chasing a rabbit with my Rendezvous speed sensors. 05 AWD 46K 3.6ltr recieving codes for low voltage and intermittent speed sensor. The symptom: erratic acceleration and speedometer and HUD freaking out. Usually at moderate speeds AWD drive light comes on and eventually goes out. How should I OHM ck the wiring between the sensor and the Box located just beow the Air cleaner. I had a control arm replaced and possibly the gorillas tightened the wire ties too tight on my right speed sensor. I took the wire ties off but no success. Any help would be greatly appreciated I live in Europe right now and GM dealers are hard to find.

What codes specifically are you getting.
The wheel speed sensor which has wiring routed along the lower control arm does not feed the signal that the speedo uses. The vehicle speed sensor located on the transmission is responsible for the the signal that the speedo receives. I apologize if I misinterpreted your post.

The codes I am receiving are P0842 Transmission fluid pressure sensor curcuit low voltage, P0722 Output speed sensor curcuit low voltage, P0723 Outpur speed sensor curcuit intermittent. I just ohmed checked all the wiring from the sensor on the wheels to the unit located by the air cleaner box, all ohmed good. Are you telling me the speed sensors that control the erratic speedometer are in the trans. The speedometer only acts up when the car is lurching back and forth and accellerating and deaccellerating like teaching aunt bee how to drive a stick. Thank you for the help

The wheel speed sensors are only used for the ABS/traction control systems. They are not what give the speedo the info for how fast you are traveling.
The vehicle speed sensor is in/on the transmission. Don't quote me but for some reason I am thinking passenger side of the trans near where the drive axle goes into the trans.

Almost impossible to access the connection on the transmission, was able to get the connection off but took hours to re-connect after a little WD40. I didn't Ohm check it or coudn't check the tension on the connection. Am I bound to lower the trans or raise the engine HELP
