Hey all,
For those of you with the Limited or the Touring with the 19" optional wheels: I put a set of Hankook Optimo H725's on about 1000 miles ago and am very happy thus far. I have always leaned toward Michelin, but for $100 less per tire for a similarly rated/warranted tire I could not pass it up. My biggest requirement was for a smooth quiet ride and these have delivered nicely on that score. Winter will be the next test and we will see there. My OEM Michelins were nothing special on snow the last couple of seasons.
I had one dealer locally quote me $195 on the Hankooks, but the other quoted $151. Tire Rack has them for $149. My dealers price included the mounting so really they even beat tire rack.
So we will see. I just throw that out there because I have watched pretty carefully and I think the Hankooks are the first tires out in our size that break the $200 floor (Michelins and Continentals are about $245). Incidentally, I found out about them because I parked next to a new Ford Flex Limited that was sporting them OEM in a 235/55/19.
