Interesting, yet reliable car purchase?

So I recently found out that there is the strong possibility that I will be getting an automobile for Graduation. I have choice, but the major bill-payers have the final say, of course. So I'm trying to find a good car. Here are some constraints, I'd love some suggestions. (or post links to cars currently for sale, that works too)

1. has to be 20 years old or less.

2. under $30,000 (negotiable, but not much)

3. RHD IS OK!

4. Able to be registered in the state of Pennsylvania.

5. I'd prefer a manual.

6. Reliability would be great, as this would be a Daily Driver.

7.needs to have some sort of warranty, or the ability to have a warranty placed on it.

8. Interesting.

9. Possibly rare.

10. maybe fast?

11. Also, just as a caveat, some cars have a sort of X-factor for me. in that they may not be that great car, but I still like them for some reason.

(Sorry for the long list of constraints, I'm trying my best!)
insurance isn't a problem, but the car will need to be able to handle the 660mile drive from where I live, to michigan. and cope with michigan winters without falling over in a pile of rust. I wouldn't be driving it that much in the winters, so any-wheel-drive is fine, but I think the parents would be happier if I had AWD.
Some of the things I've been looking at are:
Skyline R32 GTS/4
Toyota Supra TT
an Audi RS6 if I can find one for that price.
1995 Volvo 850 T5-R wagon
mid 90's Mazda FD Rx-7
a BMW E30 M3
BMW e39 M5
A silvia-converted Nissan 240sx (or LHD converted Nissan Silvia)
1999 Saab 93 Viggen
(some more, but I think you get the idea.
(one more thing, since I'm going to school in Michigan, I'm really hoping to find something in the "American" department. (the "Big 3" so to speak))
sorry for the long first post!

I think that it's great that you want something American even though all of the vehicles you listed are foreign. Found that funny!
Have you considered a Chevrolet Cobalt or a Cobalt SS?
You can pick up a 2006 SS for under 15!
You can even get an extended warranty to make the folks happy and give them piece of mind for cheap.
Let me know if I can help in any way.
Good Luck

In my opinion, the cars you listed all sound cool, but something you definitely need to keep in mind with anything on your list is WHAT IS IT GOING TO COST WHEN SOMETHING BREAKS????!!!!!

You should check out the Subaru's...
If they're giving you $30k to spend, you have a ton of options.
Buy something newer and you'll be happier. An older car with a bunch of cool modifications, you are just asking for expensive repairs in the not too distant future.

that's the reason for #7. and subarus can be fun, but can also be rather boring.
I mean, if I could find an STi Impreza, with the Japanese bits and badging, that'd be one thing. but for the most part, they're just not that interesting imho.
