Hey Guys,
This question is simply for kicks... but ti could lead to a project.
I have a 1989 Chevy S10 with a 2.8 and manual transmission. It does not have power steering. I was just thinking what would need to be modified in order to add power steering. I am not looking at this from a cost-effective perspective. Just curious as to whether it can be done.
I am planning on headling to the local yard and checking out a comparable S10 to see what the differences are.
Thanks ya'll!

All you need are the power steering pump/brackets and belt and the steering box out of a power assisted truck. Should be a simple/cheap project actually.

That actually does sound quite easy and cheap. I thought (being a rookie and all) that the rack and pinion and tie-rods would have to be changed as well.
The reason it hought of the power steering upgrade was because I'm considering a V8 swap at some point and the added weight would need power steering.
Thanks!
