I have a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix with the stock v-6. The car was throwing codes for the Front O2 sensor/Catalytic converter. I replaced them, then it started throwing heated O2 sensor code, so I replaced that. Now I have driven 150 miles. I am showing no codes, but the car won't show ready on all systems. I am showing Not Ready on Catalyst and on Evap Sys. Can someone help? I don't kow where to go from here.:banghead:

you have to do an obd2 drive cycle, which can be very aggravating. i am not sure the exact procedure for your car, but generically it involves smoothly accelerating to 40mph for a few miles, then to 60 mph, then coasting for a while, and of course you have to be smooth with little braking, then slowly brake to a complete stop. good luck.

after a reset, it will take a few days maybe even a week (hell maybe longer depending on how much you drive) before it acknowledges all "systems" as being ready

Now up to 250 miles and still no codes and not ready on 2 systems. This is very frustrating.

I had a person at my work take six weeks of driving before his car was "ready". I know that NY has a procedure that gets you a short term allowance if the car's service light is out but the service indicators are not allowing you to pass. I am uncertain if any other states has such a short term solution.

Our shop has a OBD II Drive Cycle Manual. I'll look up your vehicle tommorrow and post it if it is in the manual.

Well, now I am throwing the same codes again p0133 and p1134. Both show to be sensor 1
P0133 HO2S Slow Response Sensor 1
DTC P1134 HO2S Transition Time Ratio Sensor 1
I have replaced both sensors and the catalyst converter. Both the Cataslyst and the Evap sys still show not ready also. Please help. I am :loser: not this much of a car guru to get this figured out. Car is out of inspection and we are driving 300 miles every time I fix something to see if that was the problem.

If you bought Bosch aftermarket sensors they may be the problem, as Bosch are notorious for having bad heater circuits. If you bought quality brand oxygen sensors, then you may have a wiring issue between the sensors and the PCM.

it was Bosch.
Where and what brand is recommended? Local parts houses only carried Bosch.

Stick with either AC Delco or Denso. I'll let Rich make the final comment on Bosch brand 02 sensors. :uhoh:......
