I have a 1990 S10 with a 305, I also have a 1984 Camero with a 350 and a bare 350 block bored 30 over. I want to swap the 305 out for the 350. I want to make 550+ horsepower. Should I make the bare block a 383 stroker and build it up or should I just build off the stock 350? Any help I can get would be great.

Arlis , you can go with either the 350 or the 383 and get to where you want to go HP wise . It would be easier with the 383 though . Either one will have to be radically modified to reach that level and it can get to be expensive quickly ! Also , remember your transmission and rear end will have to be equally upgraded to stand up to that much power . And let's not forget the brakes ! They too will have to be upgraded ! As mentioned earlier , it gets expensive quickly ! Good luck and keep us updated on your progress !

Thanks, right now I have 2 running vechiles and a parts motor. Soon I will have 2 none running vechiles a 3 piles that used to be motors lol. But I think the 383 would be easier to start out with. Plus a 383 stroker in a S10 sounds cooler than a 350. Would a supercharger be ok on a stroker motor?
