Guys at work have been telling me that I should run Sea Foam through my car, never heard of the stuff. Is it good for our cars and should I really do this? I never heard of the stuff and I've never heard anyone suggest using it.

You can put that shit anywhere... oil, gas tank, vacuum lines...
I ran half a can through my vacuum lines and the car SMOKED up my entire block at idle. Ran it around the block and left a nice trail the entire way. I don't know if it really did anything, but it looked like it. Remember though, you HAVE to change your oil and spark plugs when you're done and it stops smoking.

SEA FOAM Motor Treatment is a 100% pure petroleum product that safely and effectively cleans internal fuel and oil system components, helping your gasoline or diesel engine run cleaner and more efficiently. SEA FOAM is an EPA-registered product, and will not harm engine components, seals, gaskets, catalytic converters or oxygen sensors. SEA FOAM liquefies gum and varnish deposits or internal engine components, removing carbon deposits, freeing sticky valve lifters and rings curing rough idle, pinging and hesitation problems. By using SEA FOAM to eliminate varnish and carbon buildup, mechanics can more accurately diagnose mechanical problems that may exist. That is why Sea Foam has been so popular with professional mechanics for over 65 years.
As a fuel system additive, Sea Foam will clean fuel injectors, clean carbon, gum and varnish deposits, add lubricity to fuel, stabilize fuel for 2 years and control moisture.
As an oil system additive, Sea Foam controls moisture, gum, varnish and residue deposits.

Huh, is it something that everyone should use? Do I mix it w/ my oil or do I drain it and dump IT in?

I think you do a 15/85 mix. It's like water... so if it was was straight seafoam, there'd be no lube and then you screw your engine. I would just pour some in when the engine is HOT and let it run a little bit. The engine must be hot where ever you use it. Seafoam is actually bad on seal so you don't want to keep it in for too long. And then drain and flush directly after running.

you can dump in half a can in the oil, Drive it until the engine is fully warmed up and then change the oil. Or if your try to quite a noisy hydraulic lifter. Add half a can into the oil, let it run until the lifter stops ticking, and then change the oil.
The other half a can can go in the fuel tank.
Use 2oz. per gallon of fuel to stabilize the fuel system. I've been stabilizing the fuel in my boat, lawn mower, weed wacker, ice auger, snow blower, and anything else that will sit unused for more than a couple of months with Seafoam for years and it has worked as expected!

I ran this threw my car a few years ago and I pulled the TB off shortly after and you could see where the seaform cleaned off the carbon around that vac line and in the runners. I would highly recommend it.

I have used it before in my civic. It didnt smoke as much as I expected. I guess because it really wasnt dirty. But anyways, I didnt notice any difference in performance. Mainly because, there was no problem to start with, I just done it for basic maintanence. I would still recommend it though, can't hurt anything.
Alot of people swear by it though.
