So, this is a thread to explain why i got scared to death earlier this week. Good news is, I learned something.
So, im driving down the road, about a week ago, and smoke begins to come from under my hood. I figure out that the radiator hose i installed was too close to a clamp that connects the down pipe to the turbo, and the edge of the band clamp rubbed a hole into the side of the hose. This caused coolant/water to drip slowly onto the downpipe, and while driving, create steam. So it wasnt a HUGE problem, I just needed to get a new hose, which i have ordered. But anyhow, so I didnt drive the car for three days until yesturday, when i was in traffic, and it happened. I give it gas, and it stutters HARD like a pissed off bull, Zero acceleration, boost or anything...so i pull over at a friends house, cut it off, and begin to examine, cutting it on and off, and playing with everything to try and find the problem.
This is why I was on the verge of going nuts because I thought with my luck that the engine was toast....GREAT
Well, I hop into the car, start it, and go to drive home, drives absolutely normal, gets boost, no stutter.
Then it hits me. This happened once b4. and the only thing I could remember that happened the first time that happened this time was that my car had to be jumped prior to having trouble with it bucking and kicking and not accelerating. See this time, when i didnt drive it for 3 days, the battery ran dead(small race battery) and apparently when the battery dies completely, the tuning resets itself temporarily, and the car runs like its got broken legs, but then after restarting it a few times, it kcks back into normal...
Damn I thought I was about to be shopping at eagle and JE again lol
Hope you enjoyed haha:headshake

Damn thats crazy, glad it wasn't something too serious. I had somthing similar happen to me. I still got acceleration but it was like it was running on 3 cylinders. I had it down for the transmission for like 7 months. But once I put about 20 miles on it and got some new gas, that problem went away.

So the stock ECU settings were causing this? I have never had my car start up that rough on the stock ECU after resetting it
