I don't know how much you guys know about a/t transmissions but maybe you could help me out I rebuilt mine and I had first I had the codes for short circuited solenoids but that went away. Now I have the code 52 for 2nd gear out of ratio and 86 for stuck in 3rd gear. When I rebuilt it I didn't Adjust the Kickdown piston because I didn't have the tools and couldn't find them. my reasoning was I didn't adjust it so it should be to spec. I accually found them the other day on ebay and bought them they should be here today or tomarrow. anyway In the manual it says 2nd gear out of ratio possible causes 1. bad pulse generators (I had put new ones in, checked connector resistance) 2 Rear clutch slipping (New clutch plates, rebuilt, rings not warped, has never been in 2nd gear) 3 Kickdown band slipping. Is there anything else you can think of? I also put a TL-175 shift kit in it and did everything it said including buying the .176 or what ever drill bits but I did'nt put the little plug in the Manuel Valve becuase it wouldn't fit and I did'nt have a die grinder to bore it out. From what I desiffered from the instructions I think It is just for the Low level/early warning system thats supposed to make your trans. hiss when its low on fluid but im not completely sure the instructions did'nt "really" explain. Sorry for all the questions but its hard to find anyone that knows about automatic transmissions even the people I know that build cars don't know maybe because they have manual transmissions huh.

Heres a link for the shift kit manuel
