ok... car has about 160k on it and the motor seems solid enough aside from a slight lifter tick... and im guessing the motor has been replaced becuase the bay is very clean for a 12 year old car... and the motor has what appears to be warehouse stock numbers sharpied on the top...

no problems till today...

i dont know exactly what happened becuase it happened to my roomie... i guess while he was driving the oil light flahed a few times, the radio is non responsive aside from the security light blinking... it is not in safe mode becuase i got it to come on once... so im thinking it might be the ignition switch... key is very sticky and actually totally locked up on him when he tried to leave again... after some caressing and sweet talking was able to get the key out... but the switch def. feels very sticky... also the pass. headlight went out...

and the door open song is acting funny... it goes off to soon or stays on to long...

im at a loss here

Start with your ignition switch replacement. Its' about a $25-$35 part.

Your ignition switch acts as a portal to control the power of many of the car's accessories. Yes this could be the cause of all your problems. As for the key, new lock cylinder needed.

Still could be ignition switch related. Remember it's just another part of your car's accessories.
