104,000 miles on the car. Needs an o2 sensor, as seller claims. Asking $3500. I've heard this cars are very problematic.

Miles and transmission are ok, but the o2 sensor problem isn't. Generally I don't buy a car with conditions. This VW with its history has a lot of them. Very problematic and at this price someone is looking to unload it! Here are some immediate maintenance cost to help you with your decision. Dealer cost:
1. Timing belt and Water Pump $ 750 Immediate Concern
2. Fuel Filter $80
3. Spark plug and Wires $ 300
4. MAF $ 450
5. O2 sensor $ 230
6. Brakes and flush if needed $185
7. Drive Belt $120
8. Oil change $40
And any thing not listed.
Still a bargain?
