Mmmm, that's quite interesting. I love so much when I see innovative answers to problems: and home made "dividing table" and the fact of use fishing thread are creative ideas to me: congrats. If I would be honest I would like much more with alu rims and hub (so much hard prep work drilling, and I guess much bits lost here) and steel thread or needles.

Anyway thanks, consider to do a write up (notes on fotki would be good) and ask modeartor to include in the how to area.

I've spent a large amount of time writing, photographing , organizing and uploading to our club Fotki album and have many other things to do, so if one of you want to take those images and comments and post them here, it's fine with me. Ginoc- I started, inspired by Gerald Wingrove, about 8 years ago making wire wheels in aluminum and thin piano wire. The attempt was unsuccessful. Boring 80 holes through a rim with a #80 bit, $1.59 a bit, did not work. I began working with PVC and nylon, using Alcad II for a metal finish, and have achieved an authentic look, I think. I was going to post this in the machining section but there haven't been any posts there for several months so I put it in sports cars. Glad you guys like and can use it.
