re-flashing transmission?

Has anyone tried re-flashing the CPU for the infamous hard shift in and/or out of 1st gear on an auto. tranny? Has that solved the problem? Need some info as local dealers balk at doing this... although I'm sure for the right $$$, they would re-flash, wash, wax, and kiss the Jeep good-night LOL!

have you just changed your tranny fluid? if so that could be the cause.

This has been happening since shortly after purchasing it new. Dealers say it's a "Jeep thing" as did an AAMCO shop. That's my only complaint about the Jeep... otherwise, I absolutely love that little bugger! (Although if it got 26 mpg I'd love it even more LOL!)
