i got a civic dx hatch 91 and i switch 2 motors already and none ran rite the car starts with a obd1 ecu and not with an obd0 ecu i have two guys to come an did it they said everything is rite . the fuel pump is stock.. 4 speed tran... but my Ls swap i didnt need to change it and ran great the car idles very low on obd1 and wont start on obd0...when driving the car it goes and then kinda boggs then boom catch again and runs wwwwwweeeeaaaaakkkkk.....???? when i floor the car it runs loud and very weak....dont pull much at all..sounds like it's going to backfire but dont..the injectors are obd1 and im not running on any resistor box because it's obd1.... the fuel kinda cuts i think...when the obd0 ecu was in there i had to spray starting fuel to it to make it run until i stop spraying it dies but the obd1 ecu it just idles very low almost to dead but not the car revs but runs weak :confused:anyone can help me if they can or if they have a gsr swap plllleeeeezzzz help???

First off: Don't start 2 threads about the same thing
Second: If you are running a OBD1 ecu, you run a OBD1 distributor. You mentioned a 4spd, which makes me wonder what motor you have in it right now anyway and if you even have the MPFI conversion done.

i have a gsr motor.....the car was a 4 speed tran hatch before so i guess less fuel but that shouldnt be a problem because i use to have another hatch with a ls and it ran fine....can't you wire the hatch harness distri to an gsr and have it run an obd1 distri???

you can get an OBD-0 to OBD-1 jumper harness...it connects an OBD-1 distributor to the OBD-0 harness

But you can't run a obd0 distributor with a obd1 ecu, or visa versa...not to my knowledge. You can get the jumper harness just so you can easily go between the 2 without having to rewire it.
So you had a STD model hatch, does it have the MPFI conversion done to it? Doesn't matter if it HAD a 4spd in it other than that tells what model it is, because the 4spd goes out the door when you swap in a GSR or LS engine in it.
Without the MPFI swap you will be getting less fuel and the ecu will be thinking its WOT at idle...if it even will run without the conversion done.

i do have a jumper harness for my ecu... the disti is obd1 with the ecu(obd1)...i have done the conversion to mpfi not the kit but by my experience with the ls swap...it starts and sounds like it's not running but it is if i have to take a guess at the rpm i think it is around 200 rpm not 2000... if you have the jumper colors if you have the same swap can you take some pix for me i want to check out the distri too...i think thats my problem but i can find the answer around the net...
