1998 Passat Electrical Issues

I have a 1998 Passat. Some water has leaked into the drivers side of the car and splashed all up into the electrical wires. Now my sun roof will not open, the gas cap will not open, my radio turns on by itself without the car being on. The door locks were not working, but they just started working now. I thought the car would just need to dry out but someone told me it could be a relay switch. I can't find anything online to help me with this problem.

I recommend that you take the car to the dealer. It very well could have fried a section of the interior harness.

I agree with SC2ner. Take to dealer. Your electrical panels are on the drivers side (fuse box and above it relay switches). Your problem most likely started because your sunroof drain on your drivers side is clogged. Your floor mat (carpet) may also have moister under it and could cause another issue like mold, so check that too.
