how are you guys filling the fluid? hand pump or are you removing the tranny tunnel?

I cut a hole in the tranny tunnel and used 4 threaded inserts and then made a cover plate with 4 screws. So I take the cover plate off and use a tranny funnel and fill away....
Otherwise I used to take the tunnel out each time.

Like Brian I cut a hole in the tunnel that lines up with the fill plug. I used a hole saw around 1.5" dia. Use a funnel with a piece of tube on it to fill tranny. Then just use black race tape over hole. Due to position you cant really see it.

The best Transmission fluid that I have found is Sweepco 717 Syncromesh. It is kind of hard to find but, I can help you if you want. I found it through some Porsche endurance racers that swear by it. We have rebuilt several transmissions after running it and found that they are wearing much better than the regular syncromesh that we were running before.
