got a new problem

when stopped and it is in gear the car jerks but it is not constant it does it off and on and while driving when the rpms are between 1500 and 2500 sometimes it hesitates i think it might need new plugs and wires but i was wondering if any body thinks it might be something else

you would be amazed how many times I have repaired a ton of problems with a simple tune up.
