Taurus 2007 rough idle

Taurus 2007 drivers, how does your car idle?

I bought a Taurus 2007 with 30k miles on it. It seems to idle a little rough. For instance, with the car in drive, with me holding the brake (like at a stop sign or red light) the tac needle sits below "1" by at least one hash, so that's between 800 and 600 rpm and it seems to fluctuate right there a bit, along with a little bit of growling. How normal is that? does it indicate a problem?

Im having the exact same issue with my 06 taurus. In park or in D the idle goes up and down. Its not real bad, but enough to be annoying. It did have error code P0300, I cleared that then p0174 appeared. I cleared that and now the P0300 is back..

P0300 is a random misfire code. How many miles are on it and has it had a tune up?

On the 2007, my initial thought would be an IAC servo or possibly the EGR, but 2007 and 30k miles seems a bit premature for either of those. You might start by adding a bottle of fuel injector cleaner to the fuel tank.

Just purchased a 2000 Tauras with 111,000 miles. After about a week it started having a slight miss especially at idle. Didnt get a computer code on the missfire. Havent done a tune up yet or added any injector cleaner. After I do that, I will repost. Hope it clears up my problem.

Ok, i checked again tonight and there are many more codes:

P0174
P0300
P2197
P0153 PENDING
P0174 PENDING
P2198 PENDING

It is running alot worse, hitting the has to go up a very steep hill and it felt like the gas pedal had been disconnected. Hit the gas again and it was fine.

Its an 06 and has 101,000 miles. I've replaced the plugs, air filter and cleaned the MAF sensor. The plug wires appear good, theyre still good and flexible.
