95 Aurora Fuel Problem?

I'm looking to buy a used 95 Aurora but it has an issue that I need to check out before I buy it...so I've come to the pros here at AF!

The car "putters" when giving gas. It doesn't act like it's going to stall. It acts like it's not getting enough gas. The parts that have been replaced so far (with no fix for the issue) are new Fuel Pump and Filter, switched plastic Injector Rail to a metal one, new Injector O-Rings, and new upper intake gasket--both left and right.

It has a 4.0 v8 with 122,000 miles.

What do you think the fix is and how much do you think it will cost? I will have to pay for any work done as I am a female and not mechanically inclined...so shop price guesses are appreciated!

Thanks in advance guys!

Sounds like it could use a tuneup, but it could be a lot of things.

Have you tried the fuel pressure regulator? If it is stuck, the fuel pressure will not get the necessary boost when you hit the gas. It is a disc on the fuel rail with a vacuum hose coming off the top and connected to the throttle body.
