Got a new car

So after 10 years of driving the old talon I finally said enough is enough and broke down and bought a new (used) daily driver. An 02 civic EX. Once I get some money saved up the downforce wing and exhaust will be purchased :sarcasmsign:.

Not really, I think the only things I want to get for it are maybe a cold air intake to help with gas mileage and a short shifter because the throw is long as hell. I am going to try to get up early and wash it and Ill get up some pictures. It's nothing special a 1.7L with the VTAK.

On a separate note Im in the process of working on the GSX. I bought a stage 2 tranny from TRE which is ready to go in now. The ACT 2100 is already installed. Since it spent some time up north the axle nut is rusted onto the axle shaft, so I will need to break out the die grinder for that job. I bought a new axle shaft and hub/bearing assembly for the right side. Im not replacing the drivers side just yet since the boot on the cv shaft is still in good shape. Hopefully I will be going to work on that some more tomorrow afternoon.

Nice move buying the civic for the DD. Should treat you good. I love my 95 dx. Its slow as poop, but it runs good and is very easy to drive. 160k and still running strong.

About the only thing as reliable as a civic is a cavalier.

Sorry it took so long to get back to the thread. I been spending day and night on the gsx to get it back running. Finally drove it today to start the breakin on the tranny. 550 miles to go and then I can start spoolin up the turbo again. The ACT 2100 Feels pretty decent, but it engauges like a half an inch from the floor board. I got to wash and wax it tomorrow since it hasn't seen a bath in like 7 months, and now it has grease fingerprints all over it.

Pictures will be up soon of the civic and probably sooner for the GSX since I have it here now and the civics at my parents house.

my clutch does the same thing

Do you also have to push in the peddle about 3-4 inches before it starts to disengage?

Sounds to me like you may need to bleed it some more

I was mistaken its about 2.5 inches of free play in the clutch pedal. Its bled I spent about twenty minutes doing it so Im sure theres no air bubbles in the lines. It's engaging and disengaging properly so maybe thats just how the ACT is different from OEM. Still waiting on the weather to clear up so I can wash the car.
