as some of you may no, i bought the stillen rotors and now there warped.......not to bad, but its noticable on the highway when i stop. anywho, u cant resurface them so my only option is to get the brembo blanks. here my problem.

i love the way the stillens look behind my 17in bronze wheels with red calipers, they look sick.

soon(fall..ish) i wanted to enter my car in this time trial course here in south texas to see what it can do and what i can do, i already ordered sway bars and have brand new tires (fuzions) its the braking that might get me. its not gonna be an every weekend thing, maybe once a month...should i get the blanks???? will they hold up umder the stress of a min long or so track.

wata yall suggest???

Cross drilled is a gimmick anyway. The blanks will hold up better than the cross drilled. Warping comes from improperly tightening of wheels.

Yep, the only way you can warp rotors is through uneven torquing. If you've tightened the lugs evenly then you have a build up of pad material on the rotor. Like Stealthee, you're better off with blanks. Cross drilling is a marketing ploy.

If you have trouble finding the Brembo blanks then I'd suggest getting the signature series blanks from Race Shopper (http://www.raceshopper.com/best_brakes_rotors.shtml). They're proven to be good rotors.

As for pads. If it's a street car go with the Hawk HPS. If it's going to see track duty then I'd go with the HP+ or maybe some Carbotech pads like the Bobcat. But be ready for the brake dust.

Pretty much. If left on some brake dust can be pretty corrosive and eat the finish of the wheels. I know that the Carbotechs will not do that. I don't know about the HP+.

O'reilly wouldn't carry them. They are more for the enthusiast and they are around $100 a pair. The HP+ are about the same. Here's where you can get them from a good 3S dealer.

Torque wrench.

I do not use an impact wrench simply because you might over tighten the lugs. Just use a torque wrench and torque all the bolts to the same torque, between 95 and 110 ft/lbs.

Also tighten them in a star pattern and dont tighten one all the way until they are all snug.
