My Heads up display stop working on the way to work. I can hear and see the motor moving the display. I check the fuse it was OK. It's not displaying on the windshield. Does anybody have some good suggestions to troubleshoot this. Thanks in advance.

Bob (Bnaylor) had a nice write-up on this and I can't seem to find it. I thought it was in the tips and maintenance sub-forum , but I don't see it there now. If I find it, I'll post a link for you.

Rich is this what you were looking for.

All you have to do is remove the HUD assembly. Then remove the HUD circuit board. Then locate the photocell on the pcb. See first pic. And then touch up the solder points/joints on the back of the PCB. See second pic.

Since you have no display it is possible that the photo cell might be bad. Or there might other solder joints that are bad too.
