I am working on a 1995 s10 blazer. It seems to be leaking coolant from the petcock. Does anyone know if I can get the petcock out to replace the o-ring? I don't want to replace the radiator because I broke the plastic petcock trying to get it out.

Thanks.

If it's leaking from the petcock the o-ring needs replacing but be careful taking it out, If you think it's going to come out hard u might want to consider taking the radiator out so so can work on the bench and not taking the chance of breaking it. The time and antifreeze is better than buying a new radiator depending on the condition of the radiator.. It can be done in the truck if you get the lower radiator hose out of the way but it wont be easy as there's not much room to work in that area.

Thanks djd99, that's what I was wondering. The radiator is in good shape. It seems to leak after you shut the engine down and it goes through heat soak. I was even thinking of exchanging the 15lb radiator cap with something less, like maybe a 12lb. I don't use this vehicle for towing and I don't need the higher pressure cap to prevent boilover.
