I have a 2003 Dakota w/4.7 engine .I have owned it for three years and have been having the same problem for about two of them. I figured it would QUIT sometime and I may be able to fix it THEN!!!
The truck will start fine when its cold BUT when I drive and get it hot and shut off for ten or fifteen minutes it will start and die It may take twenty or thirty times to keep running. I have just found out if I release the fuel pressure (which has a lot of air and bubbles ) it will start up fine and NOT DIE. I think it is vaporizing the fuel .I was told that the reg was bad and I changed the fuel pump But it is still doing the same thing I also get code 0129 NOW. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

you gotta see what the computer data displays (ie. voltages on all sensors) to determine if your map sensor is done, map sensors act the same as a fuel pump (start and die senario), open the throttle plate next time you go to start it to introduce more air on hot restart and see what that does when you are experiencing your problem, you may have a sensor telling the computer to reduce/increase the injector on time
