I am looking for a front bumper cover for a 1984 to a 1987 chevy cavalier 4 door sedan without z24. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just to be sure we're on the same page, you mean the plastic part that most people refer to as the bumper, right? Not on of those vinyl covers that straps on to it?

Check local salvage yards if you haven't already. Also might try www.car-parts.com (http://www.car-parts.com).

Boneyard is defineately the way to go. My '86 hatchback (Rust in peace, you junker) I was able to find a front cover and airdam from a station wagon, and two front seats from a sunbird. Total cost was if I recall; way less than $150.00. That was in 1992; three years before I got rid of the car. The cover came off easily enough, so you won't have any trouble.

There is a chance you will not find one in an auto wrecking yard,Most yards crushed the old stuff when the price of crush was very high

There's a good chance you will find one in a salvage yard, even at $300/ton which is higher than scrap steel ever was, the parts are worth much more than scrap. Just the body panels alone are worth more than the entire car as scrap.

The price of crush is way down, under a hundred dollars. Most yards do not buy the older cars anymore and most are year specific now.One yard in my area is 1996 and up.Anything 1995 and down, they do not have. You can get it new and is sometimes cheaper than buying used.Check any autobody shops that buy them aftermarket

Check with a bumper exchange. The local ones here charge about $65-100 for a repaired, ready-to-paint bumper cover, and usually take your old one as a core. Drop it off at your local body shop and have them blow on some color and clear, and you'll be all set. Expect to pay about $50 for paint and urethane clear, and some paint labor.
