ive had a thrumming noise in my front end and a winey power steering pump for a while so me and a guy i know were changing the rack and pinion and the power steering pump hoping that would help but the noise is still there, so i was wondering is there a bearing where the axle joins with the trans and if there is how big of a job is it to change? thanks:confused:

Inside the hub going to either wheels is a bearing.. It is called the Hub bearing.. When they go they get loud and go whooom whooomm whooom etc... they are at speed which means the faster you drive the louder and faster the noise is.. It is not a bad job.. We took are Toyota to Meineke.. About 130.00?? I would suspect the hub bearing before the bearing in the tranny...
