Hi there: the photo etched set to detail up the Fujimi Porsche 356 engine is now avaiable: done by 4 etched sheets (120+ fins and spacers) and a couple of K&S-Chicago brass rods (0.20 and 0.32") . With the MPWR help we engineered well the project so now is easy, quick and fun achieve an interesting result: no more words, let me show..

* metal air filters aren't included and are part of the basic Porsche 356 PE set, ever avaiable. The TK hasn't plastic engine parts: all you see in primer should be kept from a Fuji EM Porsche 356 kit (all kinds are OK)
Price is 35 eur in Europe: not cheap but there are a lot of parts and sheets: I decided to facilitate US based customers with a special price of 35 US (so 30+ % discount?) , plus shipping that I guess cheap looking at my former experieces.

Great looking product!
A bit pricey too. (no matter if Euro or USD).

Considering how much it costs me to get a sheet of A4 acid etched here, 35 Euro is a bargain.
Can't wait to see the full kit.

Thanks Peter.
I don't think is really a bargain but if you think that a single sheet/set cost often 15/25 eur, 32 eur for 4 sheets manufactured in Europe (not in China) looks a onest cost, yep, not cheap, like the product deserve :D

Thanks Robert, I appreciated a lot. Sure this and other projects born from the passion, curiosity, and not last challange :D
@artus> I answered to your PM.
Honestly, may be 10 years ago would been impossible, or much hard, develop a thing like this without internet connection and related powerful tools: despite it's my own product I got the helpful and friendly collaboration of several modeler (and mainly MPWR, I think we've almost eat all availible Skype's badwith bteween USA and Italy LOL).
Looks normal now, and seems we share ideas, passion and stuff from ages here on AF... but we all are registered by very few years... strange, isn't it?

Both the cylinder fin set and the 'basic' 356 set (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=925874) are only available directly from Gio. He's trying to keep costs down by doing direct sales only, so they won't be sold through any other web shops. Just send him a PM.
I don't have mine yet, but I built the prototype sets and they were fantastic- they look seriously cool on the kit engine. The production set (pictured above) has been redesigned to be easier to build up.

I have a 365 kit (and Gio's first set of photo etch) and I'm mightily impressed by the engine fin set! However, I'm unfamiliar with how the kit builds up. Can anyone here tell me how much of the engine is visible if it's built and installed in the car, rather than displayed outside the car?
Thanks,
Jon.

Fantastic! Now I have to build one and put the back end up on blocks. Or set a mirror under the model.
Who makes the best Speedster kit? Who makes a 356 Carrera Speedster with the correct DOHC heads, like in the pix?
There are some excellent shots of a 4-cam 1:1 motor at http://www.a57356.com/. Scroll down to the links.

The Fujimi Enthusiast line has many different variants, and all but two have the Fuhrman twin Cam engine.
