I have a 02 GTP & have been having issues w/it for a bit, had few things fixed & worked like a champ. Now all of a sudden my DIC/AC & Daylights(Headlights) went out. When I turn the knob on my a/c unit I can her one click which effects the daylights/headlights & turns them off, then I have to manually turn my lights on, but there is no air blowing out from my a/c so have no cool or hot comming out. Then once that happen all of sudden my DIC doesn't work too, are they all three connected by a wire? This isn't the 1st time it's happen but usually it would be only for a few seconds & work again now it's been about 1 week. Has this ever happened to anyone & if so what was thier fix...:sly: I've changed out my blower motor twice & engine thermostate.

I found this forum that describes exactly what is happening to my car, it was posted by CGood.
"The blower motor on my 2002 Pontiachttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/mag-glass_10x10.gif (http://www.automotiveforums.com/#) Grand Prix GTP and the digital display seem to be connected and both are malfunctioning. This problem isn't consistent. My display is blank and my ac blower will not work except on the five setting (sometimes this setting will not turn on either). Or my display is working and when I turn my ac on the display turns off and the ac won't turn on. At times the display is trying to turn on and just clicks back and forth sounding like a turn signal. Still on and off both work and no problem. I can't find a reason or trigger for the malfunction. Anyone have this problem and any ideas on how to trigger and fix it?"

Did anyone find how to fix it?

I believe you have a bad ignition switch/harness assembly. The contacts get weak, and start to arc, causing all sorts of electrical gremlins including those which you describe. It's a pretty common issue on 97-03 Pontiac Grand Prix and Buick Regal/Century models.
