1987 E-150 Conversion Van 302 intermitent stalling

Hello help please Im having intermitent stalling problems with my conversion van. Can just be driving down the road and she will quit- no sputter just stalls at full power or can happen at a light. Usually while driving or slowing down through a down shift. I thought i heard a click today like a switch being flipped. No misses or backfire just quits. will restart after setting for a few minutes 15 -20 like nothing happened.Has good power but idles rough when in park only. Thanks

On the distributor is a module they will heat up and shut down the motor.
Advance Auto and Auto Zone will check for free. I would take a hair dryer and heat it up somewhat if it tests good. Just don't heat up above 212 degrees F. I put a drop of water on them and stop if it starts to boil.
If this checks good I would change the pickup. You need a tool to do this
