Sneaky Mr. Smoking

i never thought i'd get addicted!! tobacco and all those shit chemicals they put in it, is soo sneaky.. this is my story:

2 years ago, I would have 1 smoke and i would get a short buzz, i thought, hey this feels cool! i didn't know smoking was like this. My whole body is relaxed!! I kept having smokes when people would give them to me at parties, no problem. Then i started buying packs (got older friends to buy'em), still convinced i could stop anytime. Well the buzz went away, but i keep smoking :mad: it's still relaxing (especially after sexual things!! tobacco is soo good) but no more buzz... that's how smoking tricked me into getting addicted. and it's not like i got peer pressured into it, cause only like 10% of my friends smoke regularly.
I'm a really light smoker though i only have like 6-8 a day, less when there's no school. i usually have like 5 at school and 2 after, since i hate school and it relaxes me. It's usually more on weekends though, especially when drinking, then i just keep pullin them out :D

anyway i'm goin out for a smoke :smoker2: hehe

I figure a smoker can smoke but should he blow that shit on me, I'll remind him that I am a beer drinker - which has its own byproduct. If they dont want that all over them, they should not be putting that smoke shit in my face.

i never smoke around non-smokers.... where i live it's illegal to smoke inside any buildings, you have to be outside. I never smoke in a crowd (unless it's a group of people smoking)

I respect that people don't like havin smoke in their face, so i don't even take a puff when there's a non-smoker around me

Thats consideration for people thats sorely lacking on the part of many smokers.

I never saw the point to smoking. I tried it here and there and didnt feel a thing so i stopped. Al it accomplishes is making your breath and clothes reek and you die earlier. The way i see it, if you're gonna smoke, than smoke weed. At least i makes you feel good while you kill yourself.:bandit:

and it was one of your first smokes and you inhaled the whole thing, not just 1 puff, then you would feel a buzz.
It's my decesion and it doesn't make ma bad person just because i want to smoke, it's a bad habit. I have consideration for people who don't smoke and i know they don't like the smell so i don't bother them.
I don't care if i die 5 years earlier, i might aswell enjoy life... not like i'm gunna have a good time partying down when i'm like 70
plus i'm a light smoker, you need to smoke like 2 packs a day for like 40 years for somethin bad to happen

I never got any buzz the first time or anytime I had a smoke. My mother has a friend that's been smoking since before I've been around, and she comes over ever second Tuesday, so I've been inhaling the smoke about twice a month for my whole life, so I think that's why I never got the buzz. I just love to smoke for some reason. I'm not addicted, I only ever have like max. 10 smokes a year, and I don't plan or want to be addicted. I'm just a casual smoker. Cigars are by far way better than smokes, especially the big fat cubans. They're not that expensive either, you can usually find some cheap ones at the convenience store.

This reminds me, I've only smoked 1 cigar (cuban) and no smokes yet this year....damn, I want a smoke....:smoker2: :smoker2:

I am a very casual smoker. If I'm with my smoking friends, I'll snag one off one of them, cause the 5 cigs I have a month aren't worth the $2.55/pack for Mar Menthol Lights! As for cigars.... ewww nasty. I work in one of very few buildings where smoking is allowed, and those nasty stogies are grotesque. :apuke:

Now, besides menthols, I like the smell of pipe smoke. My one grandfather used to have a pipe at christmastime, and that smell always kinda relaxes me. I know that Black and Milds are pipe tobacco, but I don't know that it'd be worth my time to smoke a minicigar like that...

But I love that relaxation that comes from lighting up a cigarette... watching the smoke drift up in spirals... (anyone else guess what I want right now?)

Every once in a blue-green moon when I get really drunk I'll smoke a couple. The next day my friends will be like, "Dude, you smoke like 3 cigs last nite." Funny thing is I only remember smoking 1. :D:D Drinking's bad, mmm'kay?

I started smoking when I was 13 all because in Guatemala they would give the kids cigarets to help lite up the fire crakers so naturally we would puf as young as 6 years old, twisted thinking I guess!

Well I tried it steadly for a month then quit never touched a cigaret again 15 years later, I love cuban cigars!
I will have about 5 a year my dad & I head out to El Salvador & come back with a box of 20 & give my 2 brother in laws 5ea, My dad gets 5 & I get 5.
For the year that is the only time my parents see me support a nasty habit!
I don't drink so it comes as a shocker to them when they see a cigar in my mouth.

But I do like weed! I haven't hit the green thing in over 2year's cause of my jobs requiring every brain cell + drug test almost every month so that is fading away!:rolleyes:

I don't like smoke form cigarets it makes my short of breath when people smoke around me!:finger:

I very occasionally smoke a cigar. But, the last time I did, I got sick (not sure if it was from cigar, or dinner, or cigar + dinner). So it may be a while before I have another.

I hate the smell of cigarettes. They smell like dirty ass to me. :apuke:

The other thing I hate is when smokers can't smoke inside, so they go outside and light up right under the a/c intakes!!! :mad: This happens at work and at school all the time!!! :mad: It's like someone blowing their smoke in your face, but you can't find 'em. Grrrr...! :mad:

I got sick too last cigar I had! I couldn't stand up without feeling queasy, and almost threw up...that lasted for about an hour, then it passed. But that's not stopping me, I like them too much :D

In canada there's soo much anti-smoking shit, you can't advertise cigs in magazines or newspapers here. Each pack has big pictures of bloody lungs and ugly teeth and stuff, they also have the surgeon general warning stuff like "cigarette's are a addictive"
for some reason nobody pays attention to any of that stuff

in NZ it's $10 a pack :eek: :eek: that's alot!! they're like $5 canadian here, so like i guess $3.50 or so american

here they're 5 bucks canadian.... and a 20 pack is like 4

they just raised the prices though, a 25 back used to be just over $4 everywhere last year

how come we don't get Marlboro in Canada? every time i go to any other place in the world there are marlboros, they seem like the most popular kind everywhere outside of canada.

I just saw an ad today for Marlboro's $2.61/pack.

Most all of my *broke* college friends just go for the Cimarron's cause they're only about $2 a pack, and the menthols supposedly taste like Salem menthols... Who knows? I have all but quit (again). Lately I haven't had the stomach for the smell of smoke. I've even carried a mini bottle of Febreeze around w/me just to get rid of the scent!

i've never heard of cimarrons, i know there are some benson & hedges cigs that cost less than others, but usually they're all the same price.
Menthols are for girls though, no guys smoke menthol. Here the popular ones are Craven Menthols... i think

I don't really smoke permanently, only sometimes - twice a month or so. I dont get addicted to it for some reason, neither do I hate the smell - I suppose I am used to it since everybody who I know well smokes - all of my family smokes except me, all my friends etc. and its been that way for as long as I remember. I dont really enjoy smoking but I dont hate it either.

GS: on the "no guys smoke menthols" idea, all the guys in my group smoke menthols... infact, they got all us girls hooked!!! They outnumber us girls, so we finally gave in. :) Cimarron's are lower quality, and for the amount I smoke, I just bum cigarettes off someone else... I hardly ever need enough tar and nicotene for a whole pack.

Never tried smoking and I dont plan on starting. I had to live with the second-hand smoke from my dad, who went through like 2packs a day of DuMaurier Extra-Lights, until he was finally able to quit last year with the help of that niccorette gum stuff. (his employer had an incentive program to stop smoking and they reembursed him for that gum, cause its quite expensive)

No Weed, No Cigarettes, And No Cigars, and yes it may be wrong of me, but I even avoid ppl that smoke.

Well i have 2 good friends who are really addicted.. for some reason I just arn't.. I use to smoke quite a bit but now I have pretty much stopped, maybe a couple in the weekend when offered or drinking.

Maybe the fact that my uncle died a few months ago with lung cancer might have something to do with it..

i dont smoke cig. the only time i have ever smoked a cigarette was the first time i got drunk. i had a fine girl feeding them to me so i didnt turn it down. other than that the only time i have had a cig. was another time i was drunk and they had never seen me smoke so i took one puff and they were happy -*funny what makes you happy when you drink* - i do occasionaly smoke black and milds - depends on what mood im in - either drinkin or just feel like it - i love the smell and the taste isnt that bad either - i only smoke them about once every other month or so....

well depends how much you smoke.... i buy about a pack a week or less, that's just over $3 US a week.... so about $12 a month... 12 x 12: $144

i don't think i could even buy 1 rim with i'll round to $150 :)

true does depend on how many U smoke.......I based it on some people I know who smoke between 1-2 packs a day.......that way you spend around $3-7K a year

Yes I smoke, and hell yeah I am trying to quit. Last thanksgiving I quit for 6 weeks, and then at the begginning of summer I quit for 8 weeks. As soon as Thanksgiving break gets here, I am going to try again hopefully this time for good. But did you know that ciggaretts really chemically should make you nervous, but it is relaxing, b/c when you are smoking it is one of the only times you are sitting back doing nothing.
If you are addicted it is another story. (In my opinion not the science communities) Here is how I describe a nic fit. Have you ever been so nervous that it feels like someone is squeezing your chest? Well Imagine the same feeling except a 300 lb person standing on your chest.
It is hell. When I quit over the summer one of my nic fits actually brought me to tears. Thats when I got out my "water pipe" and it was all better. Nothing is more relaxing than that.:bandit:

But having a cigg if you are quitting is really bad. Statistics show if you have a cigg in the first 6 months of quitting, you will start back.
Smokin nugs are relaxing, and help a nic fit immensly.

There was this guy at work who smokes "Colts" which are the Long Brown Euro-Cigarettes, I hate regular cigarettes, but I thought these were cool, he's originally from Britain and claims that his cig's are "High Class". They were Wine and Rum flavoured, maybe that's why they almost smelled good.

Colts aren't cigs!!!! They're small cigars :D they're all rum flavored and wine tipped, and i'm pretty sure they're not european

I rather smoke cigs because they're alot cheaper and it's the same effect... why pay the same price for 8 mini-cigars when i can get 25 smokes that are just as relaxing :D

As an owner of a Zippo lighter (clear trademark of a smoker), I have been a smoker since '92. This coming year is supposed to be my deadline for quitting the habit. My promise to myself was to quit smoking either by the time I have kids or when I turn 30 (that's in July) whichever comes first. It's gonna be weird... smoking is my only vice.
I have quit many times... we'll see how it goes...

i've been a smoker for about 2 years, and now i cut it down to about 3 a week. even though i smoke, hate the smoke. it smells and tastes better coming from your own mouth/lungs rather than others'.. don't ya think?
