Finally- only been waiting for this one for three years now :grinyes:!!
Wish they would do Gronholm/Hirvonen's car from 06 or early 07. I don't like the look of the scheme so much since the Abu Dhabi sponsorship.

Apparently they will also release the livery used by Duval in the 2008 Rally Deutschland pretty soon after release of the Abu Dhabi livery.

Didn't Duval run in the same Abu Dhabi scheme for Deutschland 08? I thought he took over Latvala's car, and Latvala used Duval's Stobart car.

:nono: No, false...! :grinno:
You're wrong simply because Duval was driving a third Stobart car in Germany, Gigi Galli was second driver and crashed during the rally, what bring Duval into a Stobart livery car after Germany and into an Abu-Dhabi car by taking Latvala's place on tarmac rallies.

Interesting. When I seen first Etienne's stages somewhere I was a bit doubtfully, but I must to say that the job looks really good once finished. I also like much more the '07 green scheme, hopefully Etienne would produce it.
BRAVO, great job.

It should be according to me, as it is "BP Ultimate Green" on both cars.
I got a Citadel color that match that green, I think I'll use it if Renaissance supply a green not convincing me.
The blue may also be found without too many problems if it's really too light as pictures show it.

Sadly, Renaissance won't release a decalsheet with the Stobart-livery.
I would like to build Gigi Galli's Focus and asked if and when Renaissance would release the Stobart livery.
But the answer I received from Renaissance was the following:
"Pa contre je ne pense pas faire les Stobart car les decals de ces versions coutent tres cher car beaucoup de couleurs...."
Or, if my limited knowledge of French doesn't deceive me, there are too many colours (dissolving into each other) in this livery... Sadly.
Steven from Domino can confirm this (as I asked him already in 2008):naughty:.
I will buy this kit (without decals) and try to make the decals myself :loser:

In fact he says he isn't planing to do this decals because they would be very expensive given that there are many different colors, no mention about dissolving into each other.

You're right Phil. I worked as an official on this year's Rally Australia & was quite lucky to get VERY close to the cars. The blue is much darker than shown & deeper/richer in colour. Can't remember if it had a metallic fleck through it or not - as we were working we weren't allowed to take a lot of pics :(. The BP Green is also very bright close up.

In fact, all the colors above are false !! :loser: :crying:
In reality blue is deeper, more intense... Red is darker, almost brown-like under some sights... And the green is... "greener" than this "bird-shit" yellow-green... (maybe clear coat made it appear so ugly)

Standing about a foot away from the cars as they entered the final time control on Sunday to form up for the finish ramp, the red is almost 'Italian Red' in terms of darkness. And whilst I think of it, if anyone thinks they need to replace the front 'grille' where the Ford badge is with some screen - don't. It does change from rally to rally, but by & large, this is a plastic insert that LOOKS like a screen

I also couldn't be standing closer to the car than I was during german rally, and what I could swear is that Red ISN'T "almost Italian Red" !! Darker isn't perhaps the exact term to describe it but for sure it's not something close to italian red.
here a a few shots more of the car (btw in the light or not as show the pics). Red really has nothing to deal with the Italian red of the Fiat or Alfa Romeo ! It's even sometimes depending of the light brightness more like a light brown than a red and only appears red under big light. In france such color is called "Bordeaux red" (like wine for those who know the color of that wine.).
The best proof is that such "really red" color appears completely false on the model compared to the real car.
I'm also so sure of that that I have a sample of the color got in service park and some small fans flags to the AbuDahbi colors which show this Bordeaux red color.

But maybe Australian sun is really brighter than french one (ok for sure it is :crying:) and put much light on this bordeaux red and made it appear to you italian red, but trust me it's not and if you intend to build the model don't ruin it chosing an italian red...! :headshake
All brands, kits or diecast, did the mistake till now, Ixo as Renaissance, and I guess Colorado also...
I only expect PMA to get the exact color match.
But I won't build a focus with such a false red.
For the front grille, also pay attention, if you saw the car in 2009 it's not the same anymore than the 2008 represented car.
It changed after 2008 MonteCarlo.
What you saw this year normaly is the above pictures car, with the new front grille representing the new road Focus front line (as the lights reshaped with black tape btw) and the brille in the bumper was also modified between 2008 MC and following events.
I have a lot of details pics to show all I'm saying if anyone want them. :naughty:
