Maaco is complete crap for paint jobs. My friend got a maaco paint job there were runs everywhere in the paint, and they got paint on all the moldings, windows, rims, and even the exhaust. It looked absolutly horrible.

i had mine done at macco on my white hatch and it didt come out that bad, but i bet in a year or so, the paint will show its wear, but for the time i had it, it was great, heres a couple pics:

I got my car painted at Maaco about 2 years ago because it needed paint badly and I was broke. It is already starting to look like shit. Rust is coming through on spots they were supposed to fix, paint is chipping off, there was a little overspray on my windows and paint on my interior panels.

Geez, its hard to tell on the white hatch, but they really painted everything ... gutters on the roof, and some other stuff that I am sure is supposed to be black ... looks nice though.

I dont think all maaco sucks. It depends on the owners really. Theres a maaco by my area that does a great job compared to other maaco! This what i would do. I would pre prep my car myself. Have them paint it. It should be str8. I just think its better that way.:)

yup...all maaco's are individually owned...so there are good ones out there...

.usually the problem with maaco jobs is the prep work....so prep the car yourself and you'll be set ;)

not much action is one way to put it!! but luckly its catching on (imports), also the price of cars, and getting them painted, is a lot cheaper here than a big city. a 3000 dollar hatchback would sell for about 1500-2000 here in IA.

Maaco got sum pretty good promotions right now though. The ambassador paint job or something thats normall 500 somthing for 250. Of course, I dont know how those turn out. My mom's nissan van was painted there and it still looks great, like the day she bought it. Dont really care anyways since my car's white. Wont be able to tell when they overspray unless its all over my exhaust and stuff.
