Hey guys, I am going to do my brakes this weekend and I figured while I am under there I might as well fix this annoying thunk, problem is I dont know what it is. I hear it when I back out of parking spots or my driveway and turn the wheel about 3/4 to full either direction. I havent had it up on the jack yet to see if it could be the wheel bearings needing to be repacked but I am think a universal joint or something up in there. Let me know your ideas please.

EDIT: The noise does not happen when going straight in forward or reverse

Check your ball joints! More than likely thats the prob. If not the ball-joints, it's still in the steering.

It is the Front sway bar bumping up against the shock....

nothing to worry about. Mine does this ever since I replaced the shocks...

So I didnt get a chance to do my brakes this weekend but I did the oil.. while I was underneath the car I saw that the shaft running into the caliper has a boot and the boot was ripped completely... Is that the ball joint that runs into the center or the caliper on the front or is that something else....Its for the 4x4 I think....Im wondering if this is my problem or not. Let me know what you think, thanks

That sounds like your outer CV joint boot. If your truck has shift on the fly 4wd, the CV joint is likely toasted and will require replacing the axle.

If you're hearing the sound from the rear, check your rear spring seats. I need to replace mine as they now pop (single pop) whenever I turn. Definitely replace your CV axles though. You could probably reboot them but it's easier just to replace the whole thing. The ball joints are on the control arms. All four of mine were completely decimated, squeak and squaked over every little bump, I'm half surprised the front wheels never came off with the way I drive. Replaced them and it was like a whole new car. These Rodeos can really take a beating.
