My 89 that I am restoring needs a new fuel level sending unit. It has 63000 original miles on it. Is it possible that something inside the unit is stuck and that why my gas gauge isnt working or once they go, they are useless??

The right rear was leaning a little lower than the left side. I changed the shocks (front & back) yet the rear right is still leaning. Should I change the coil springs too?? or is there another problem??

Does anyone know of good online parts places to get parts for our great cars?? Seems alot of places I have gone to do not carry parts for us.

Thanks for the great site and I look forward to your responses.

I would install new coil springs. Check for a corroded connection at the connector for the gage.

OK will do. Thanks

My brother in law pulled the wire off of the leveler and hooked up some wires to the plug and the gauge went up to full.

Do you think I should get some steel wool and clean the connectors and see if it works??

Steel wool or emery paper then coat with grease when done.

X2 on spring replacement. As for the fuel gauge , it is VERY common for the float to leak, fill with fuel, and sink to the bottom. The sending unit itself rarely, if ever, goes bad.
