I'm looking to replace my 3.2L V6 gasoline with a 4jb1 isuzu diesel, its 4x4 manual '94. Should the motor bolt right on? Can my tranny handle diesel, where can I find one cheap? Please Help!

No it won't bolt right in. The electronics are all different, so are the motor mounts, and I don't think it will work with our tranny.

I can deal with making new mounts and there's got to be a converter for my ECM or at the worst each individual sensor, but I really don't want to scrap my tranny for no reason. I've seen a lot about the 4jb1-t, they're practically impossible to find in this city, but it's smaller and less torq-y than the DOHC and with the 4x4 gear box, it wold be a shame to have to purchase (and find) a whole separate 5spd. Would this be a few weeks long project or a few months long? I've just got a gasoline motor with broken rings, and I figure if I'm going to take the time to re-machine and replace all this stuff, I might as well use the time to get a 400,000 mile grease-eating diesel. Electric is seriously inefficient for my needs.
