Hey Guys,
My 00 GP GT just hit 100k. I got her with 79K and I know I never changed any of the tranny fluids, but I'm not sure about the prior owners. I do not have any tranny issues (knock on wood), so I was wondering if you would recommend I changed the fluid for regular maintenance now? Thoughts? Some people told me that if you change around 100k and never did so before you can encounter tranny problems afterwards, so I'm not sure how true that is....Thanks as always!

I did a pan drop and filter replacement around 85,000 on mine. No issues afterwards.
I think if you do a pan drop and replace the filter you'll be fine. No flushes!

so no flushes? I have 70,000k on mine and it seems to be shifting kinda hard while upshifting

Yep, no Flushes.
Rev2red, I recommend you review this thread at the tips and maintenance subforum. It might be a good time for this type of mod. (probably for the OP also)

just as an additional pointer...if you decide to put in a shift kit alot of them have "firmness settings" when i bought the shift kit from ZZP it had 3 different spacers you could put in.
i suggest that you DO NOT put in the largest spacer...just use the middle sized one.

The valve body might have come out for a throught out cleaning.I know a transmission shop in my area that does lots of valve body cleanings due to flushes with the machine.

If he doesnt get it flushed, he wont have to get the valve body cleaned. Its best to leave well enough alone unless there is a problem. (especially inside the transmission).
Just run seafoam trans additive in it for a week, do a pan drop, install the medium shift kit from ZZP a new filter, and refill with fluid.
