I have a 1997 cutlass with a vats problem. I would like to make a bypass for the system but my keys do not have chips in them.I gather that there is a type with the resistor on the ignition switch. So my question is how to measure the resistnce there without removing the switch. I am tired of waiting for the light to stop fashing and would like to solve the problem permanently.
