Everyone know's about that piece of cardboard crap that covers the spare tire right? Well mines starting to bend up, making my trunk interior look all funky. I was wondering what I could possibly replace it with, to make it sturdier, and resistant to moisture?

you could replace it with a peice of wood, then seal the wood to resistist the moisture. I have to do mine as well. The card board thing is totally shot.

i bought my car used prolly like most u did.. but mine didnt come w/ the cardboard stuff.. so i used the rug in there that fits perfectly the shape of the trunk... cut off the top part that doesnt cover the indention w/tire.. and traced it onto some wood, cut the wood out, and then got some of that water resistant stuff thats.. umm.. cant think of name , but that stuff that comes in paint bucket thingys.. ( SOME ONE HELP ME OUT ) but i just brushed it on the wood and let it dry.. then just sat it under the carpet.. works fine. its harder than the cardboard to pick up and get tire out and what not.. but how many times are you gonna get a flat ?

On my civic it came with wood already in it so I guess my boy must have changed it before he gave it to me due to the same problem you all are having.
