New Gaskets going on (GM Metal Framed ones).
Notice the valley gaskets and the size of the bead of silicone I put on them. The silicone I used was leftover from a fel-pro kit that I had in my tool box. It worked fine in the past so I used it. When I got everything back together, the silicone that beaded out the sides was dry to the touch. Maybe fel-pro's brand is formulated to dry faster than the permatex brand.???

Took almost 4 hours from start to finish. When I first fired it up, it missed BAD. So I threw on my acctron scan tool that I keep in my trunk. It came up with a P0300 code. I was like AHHH SHAT! what did I do wrong? Took a quick glance at the coil packs and noticed that I had mis-routed the wires for plugs 2 and 4. Once I swapped them, the car ran Great! So far so good, no leaks!

that's one well ventilated workspace you got there Tim! Nice write-up and good pics. Thank goodness the tool box was in the way, we don't want to see any plumber "smiles"!

If I were to the intake gaskets, I don't I could due a back injury. It took you 4 hours it would probably take me over 2 weeks to get it done. Leaning over the engine would put me in severe pain in my lower back. Washing the dishes in the sink does me in also. Looks like a job well done.

Bring it on over!
Thats too bad to hear about your back? What caused it? Years and Years of being hunched over a fender working on a car?

No I was doing some wiring on a wire rack which was not installed properly. I was almost to the top and the rack broke loose from the wall and I was along for the ride down and the rack fell across my chest.
