Racing in my new Spec V

I need help guys. There are no 1/4 mile tracks where I live. We race the 1/8 mile unless we street race. I have raced many cars. I have beaten a 95 5.0 Mustang with a cam and a chip by 3 cars in the 1/4. I have also beaten a Camaro RS SS by abou the same. I went to the track last week and i can' t seem to get off the line. All I do is spin. I have beaten many cars but realized something when I got beat by a DODGE NEON. His mods where a intake and a turbo. I have a cold air intake and that's it. I am looking for some places on the net to find parts for my car. Cheap places at that. I am wanting and EVO2F body kit and headers and some other mods down the road. Please let me know of any good sites.

That 5.0 must either suck at racing, or was an auto. Either way, you beat a camaro rs, there is no such thing as an rs ss, just the rs and ss, and you did not beat an ss. That neon is full of shit, you can't have an intake and turbo, well not in the traditional sense. Maybe he just counted the turbo piping as an intake, either that or he was retarded. Check out www.b15sentra.net and go to the parts mall for different parts for the spec. There are also many body kits that are nicer than that evo kit, I hate it personally but if you like it then go for it.

Come on man. You cant beat a RS or an SS even if he missed all gears.:eek2: Anyways what did you do in the 1/4 or the 1/8. Unless your doing 12s there is no chance you beat a SS :D

did you go to the track like you said you going to go.:D if you did, did you get a better time. I went to the track last night and got a 15.1 and still stock. I got one 15.3. I tried feathering like you said but I feel like its just too slower. also I was amazed because I have always made it in the 89MPH zone and last night I hit 90.06MPH. cool huh:D I would post up my slip but I dont have a scanner. raced against a funny gas blowin 2002 MAXIMA. yeah he was quick I was like :eshooter: :eek2:

Nah he could beat an rs, the rs is just the v6 model, they aren't that fast.

Actually I met up with about 3 other b15 guys and we were headed to the track last Fri, but I got pulled over and got a ticket on the way. That kinda put a damper on the whole night and I don't really have the money anymore to be going to the track, so I bailed when we got there :(. The next time I go will be after the summer, when I will hopefully have many many more mods, and have aspirations for mid 14's :)

I've race agains many many different SE-R's.. some I beat without any problems and some keeps up pretty well.. depending on mods.. But I really don't think he can beat a 5.0 with cams and a chip. :rolleyes: They run 13's without having to try very hard..

btw, I usually run any where between 14.3 - 14.7 depending on temp. and pressure, and also my tire setup.

I have an AEM intake and that is it. I did beat the camaro rs. Not the ss model. I raced him again and it was just the rs model. Oh and some rs models do have the V8 but not the newer ones. I have raced a 91 rs which has a 305. I also beat him pretty bad. I run around a 9.2-9.5 on average in the 1/8 of a mile and man it is nothing to beat an rs 5 speed. They are slow just like the v6 mustang unless they have some major mods. I have a friend with the same car as I do well I wouldn't say friend but an associate and he has beaten a couple v6 firebirds with relative ease. I was there. As for the track I raced an svt contour and got beat by .1 sec. I was impressed I didn't think they were that quick. Also I raced a new Civic SI and beat him by .2 sec. There was also a mazda 6. I really thought it would blow me away but I lost by a measly .25 sec. It is fun racing but I have a heavy system and no mods so you do the math.
