Wassup,

I just tried to install these reverse glo gauges in my 96 Accord. After disassembling half of the damn car and then getting the gauges out I broke the Gas gauge needle right the hell off!!!!!! F$#@! $72.00 for a new gas gauge! Just for the gas gauge! Anyhow.... HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET THOSE DAMN NEEDLES OFF!?!?!? Don't want to take anymore chances.. am I better off bringing it to Honda? Let me know...

you should not have to remove the needles. It is very tricky to slip the the new one around the needles. I would go to the junk yard and get a whole cluster, it would be cheaper and you'll have extra guages. Pulling the needles off a honda is not recomended. they don't go back on easily.

you don't need to take the needles off why don't you invest in a manual for you car that will show you how to take stuff off and not break shit

The hole in the middle of the gauge is almost the exact same size as the base of the needle. It would be easy if the needle was the only thing that protruded from needle assembly, but on the opposite end it also protrudes about an 1/8-3/16 of an inch so you can't work the gauge on and overlay the exisiting. As far as manuals go, no manual will tell you how to install aftermarket gauge overlays. They will tell you how to dissemble and reassemble the gauge cluster but not how to take it apart. And if you were to "replace" the OEM gauges (which a manual would only ever suggest to do) any idiot I assume would know what those three screws on the back of the cluster were for!! Thanks for the advice anyway ;/ Just wondering if anyone has installed these already on their Accord and how they did it!

Thanks

ESP.....by the way! I see the ZEX kit on your ID. Would you suggest the kit for an Accord that only has headers, exhaust, intake? Don't want to blow my shit up! Let me know......

Thanks again

After some random browsing on eBay, i found a set of Velocity Indigo Gauges for my 1995 Honda Civic EX. The font and light colors look like the skyline gt-r from 2 Fast 2 Furious (it is at least 95% identical). Obviously, the top speed, max redline, and other gauges are a little different. In the looks department, it is just about the same. Yes, it took me 5 hours and 28 minutes to install--but the end result was just stunning. The good part is i didn't have to remove any needles--they were just slip over and use the stock screws to fasten them into place. I will take pictures tonight when I go out and post them tomorrow (or whenever I go online again). Next project...upgrading the sound system. :werd: :worshippy

The picture on the bottom is one of the designs that I designed for my line of apparel. If anyone is interested in buying bumper stickers/decals, t-shirts, tanktops, spaghetti straps, hooded sweatshirts, etc. with those designs, just e-mail me, send me an instant message, or just reply to my post with your info. Also, if anyone wants to have a party and needs a deejay, want to make a video for class, fun, promo, or want to design their own apparel, hit me up also! Until then, happy tuning! :dogpile:

Note: for some reason, i cannot upload attachments anymore!!! :comprage1
