clio warning light mystery!

have a warning light coming on the dashboard of my 1989 clio 1.2, the symbol looks like a heartbeat, one that would appear on a heart monitor,thats the best way i can describe it! it doesnt effect the cars performance but just want to know either way!

It sounds like the warning light for the Engine Immobilisor...
