tranny swap for an 04 corolla s

are the gears in a celica gt 5 speed shorter than the gears in a corolla 5 speed? if so, is it possible to swap an 04 corolla s tranny with a celica gt tranny since they are the same 1zz-fe motor? i really need to know cuz my corolla tranny is going out and the gears are long as hell and i figure i might as well swap it with something shorter.
