Jimmy Day time running lights

When I turn my directional on lft or rt th dtls go off, has any one ever heard ths problem?

I have a 99 Jimmy that does the same thing. From what I understand it has been designed that way to help on-coming traffic see your turn signals better. Hope this helps.
