I recently rebuild the engine on my 95 rs 420a. It has been running fine for about 2 weeks. I drove it to work last night just fine. But when I went to leave at lunch it would not crank. All the lights come on fine.
Just there is a clicking noise everytime I turn the key in the dash right behind where you turn the air on and off. Checked most the fuses. Could it be a ground wire?
Thanx

Like the starter clicking or like a relay clicking?

I would bet its either a dead battery or bad connection on the starter wires.

God I hope thats all it is. But would it still be making the clicking noise behind the thermostat?

Behind the thermostat is in the engine now.
Try jumping it and see what it does. Probably nothing since your lights are coming on. If nothing, try playing around with the starter wires a little and see if that helps at all. Is the fuel pump turning on?

If it was the fuel pump it would be able to turn over.
I'm thinking its a near dead battery that doesn't have enough power to send the starter enough cranking amperage to turn over.

UPDATE!
If was a faulty wire to the fuel pump relay under the radio. WE just by-passed the wire and now it cranks right up.
Thanx for trying to help:)
