94 GMC oil cooling lines

I have a 94 GMC 2500 7.5L and I am attempting to replace the oil cooling lines. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to go about doing this and I have also heard that I can just disconnect the whole thing completely and was wondering how to do either one and which one would be the best way to go.
